Our children are involved in setting their own targets and identifying their own "next steps" within lessons, through being supported by their class teachers and possibly teaching assistants.
Where appropriate, children are consulted about how they wish to be supported in the classroom. These ideas are then shared with staff. They may form part of their learning plan provision. This will then be shared with parents.
Staff promote resilience and independence with pupils within lessons.
All pupils are supported and encouraged to reflect on their learning and to develop a sense of independence relevant to living in the modern age.
