PSHE and Route to Resilience

Currently, the school follows the 'Cambridgeshire Scheme' for PSHE. This aligns with the school's curriculum statement of intent, School Values, British Values and within the scope of our 'Mindfulness Zone'.

As updates regarding this new scheme of work are finalised, this page will be populated.

In the meantime, for addition information, please explore our Route to Resilience, Peaceful places, Mental Health/Wellbeing/Character/Values and Big Curriculum pages to explore the school's character education. Furthermore, you can explore the school's Twitter feed and YouTube Channel.

What is Route to Resilience all about?

Route to Resilience is a programme of accreditation that is completed when a school demonstrates that it embeds a character education at the heart of its curriculum. It is designed to improve children's mental health, attitude to learning and resilience.

By teaching the children about 'character muscles', we equip the children to become more resilient, confident and happy people. We are preparing our children for life in modern Britain.

We incorporate character muscles on every facet of your child's education including them in: rewards, PSHE lessons, SMSC opportunities, assemblies and circle times. We also embed character muscles in every lesson and build them into our expectations of learning.
